What is Netplwiz?

Netplwiz.exe it's a useful tool for managing user accounts stored in Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10.


Features

Secure Logon is a common feature of business computers in a domain network. It provides an authentic login prompt that protects the system from programs that imitate the login screen to retrieve or copy the password information.

When you surf the web and check your e-mail, Internet Explorer will ask you to save your password. Windows will store your login credentials for servers, websites, and programs if you will use this feature.

When you open one of those websites or programs, Windows will try to log you on automatically.

How to manage or edit your passwords

To edit your passwords in Windows Vista and above

Press Windows Key+R, type netplwiz and Press Enter


In Windows XP

Press Windows Key+R, type control userpasswords2 and Press Enter

You can edit or remove your passwords

How to Remove Login Password in Windows 10

Go to the Users tab and uncheck the box: Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Fill in your account password and hit OK.

Windows should now no longer require a password to log in to your user account.
